Maurice Lacroix 1975 Automatic Saignelégier Blue

The dial of the 1975 Automatic Saignelégier Blue pays homage to the Swiss town of Saignelégier , where the brand comes from. The distinctive Vagues du Jura dial motif depicts the rolling hills surrounding the Maurice Lacroix manufactory.

The company delved into its archives and discovered a historic colour from the past, Saignelégier Blue . The bevelled hour and minute hands are combined with hand-applied trapezoidal hour indices. The date is displayed at 3 o'clock.

The 40mm steel case combines brushed and polished surfaces , which is supposed to give an interesting contrast. The watch is powered by the automatic ML155 movement , visible from the back through sapphire glass. It offers a 56-hour power reserve . The limited edition includes only 888 watches, which is indicated on the engraved caseback.

The timepiece is presented on a leather strap and is equipped with the Easy Strap Exchange system, which allows the user to quickly and easily change it.

Maurice Lacroix 1975 Automatic Day Date Sapin Green

The second model features the Vagues du Jura motif on the dial, this time executed in a distinctive shade of Sapin green, inspired by the fir trees that cover the hills around the town of Saignelégier .

The dial is set under a domed sapphire crystal that highlights the complexity of the green scene's composition. The watch also stands out from its predecessor with a day of the week indicator , which is placed at 12 o'clock.

The solid case back depicts two horses standing among fir trees , a reference to the famous Franches-Montagnes horses that originate from this region.

Limited to 500 pieces, the 1975 Automatic Day Date Sapin Green is presented on a five-row stainless steel bracelet , combining polished and brushed links.

Maurice Lacroix 1975 Automatic GMT Silver Mist

The latest version of the 1975 Legacy , created for the 50th anniversary of Maurice Lacroix , offers a dual-time display. The dial resembles the appearance of rolling hills at dawn , when the landscape is enveloped in silver mist. Additionally, a vintage-style sapphire crystal highlights the richly textured surface of the dial.

The hands and indexes have the same design as other models in the 1975 Legacy line, but in this case, they opted for a shade of gold . The watch also features an additional coaxial hand that indicates the current time "at home" , which is a useful feature for those who travel often.

You have to admit that the watches look great. If you're going to celebrate fifty, this is the only way!
