Not Just the Rolex Land-Dweller: Here Are All the Swiss King's New Arrivals for 2025

At this year's Watches & Wonders 2025 trade show in Geneva, almost all of the watchmaking attention was focused on the new Rolex Land-Dweller. However, in the shadow of this spectacular premiere, Rolex presented a few other new products that are also worthy of attention. Here they are!
We have already described the Rolex Land-Dweller in detail on Well.pl. It was also included in my list of the 5 most spectacular watches presented at Watches & Wonders 2025. All of this is not without reason. Or rather: "reasons".
The new integrated Flat Jubilee bracelet harks back to Rolex's quartz models from the 1960s and 1970s. A honeycomb-structured dial. A transparent caseback, which Rolex has avoided in its "tool" watches so far. A completely new Calibre 7135 movement, equipped with, among other things, the innovative Dynapulse escapement. A total of 10 references to choose from in three versions: white Rolesor (a combination of Oystersteel and white gold), Everose rose gold and platinum, and in two case sizes: 36 mm and 40 mm. Over 7 years of work, 32 patent applications, including 18 reserved for this model. And on top of all that - the magic of the Rolex brand, which makes it hard to pass by indifferently.

It’s no wonder that almost all of the watchmaking world’s attention during this year’s Watches & Wonders 2025 trade fair in Geneva was focused on the new Rolex model, seemingly not noticing the other new releases from this brand that appeared alongside it. Although I should probably say “in the shadows”. And that’s where I’m looking now! To places less illuminated by the glare of the camera flashes, where other Rolex new releases await.
Watch launches 2025: Two new Rolex GMT-Master II modelsTo mark the 70th anniversary of the iconic Rolex GMT-Master, Rolex has unveiled two new GMT-Master II models. The watches in this line also display a second time zone thanks to an additional 24-hour hand and a two-colour, rotating bezel with a 24-hour scale .

The color of the dial is also a distinguishing feature of another Rolex premiere at this year's Watches & Wonders. We are talking about the Rolex Cosmograph Daytona ref. 126518LN with a lacquered, turquoise dial (with black subdials), reminiscent of the legendary Tiffany color. Although in this case, without a clear connection to the famous jeweler. However, the Daytona model, introduced in 1963, has long since become an icon in its own right.

The Perpetual 1908 is Rolex's most elegant offering and a clear reference to the first Oyster Perpetual watches. It was created in 2023 as a successor to the Cellini. A year later, it delighted with a version with a guilloché Grain de Riz pattern and an Ice Blue dial (ref. 52506).

Now Rolex has gone a step further. The yellow gold Perpetual 1908 has the option of a bracelet. Previously, only brown and black alligator straps, lined with lambskin in the brand's signature green color, were available, fastened with a Dualclasp folding clasp.

The bracelet, made up of seven rows of links, called Settimo, was created exclusively for the Perpetual 1908 in 18k yellow gold, which adds to the watch’s appeal. All the links are fully polished, reflecting light on all the curved surfaces. The bracelet is equipped with a hidden Crownclasp clasp, and its design is reminiscent of the jewelry-inspired bracelets that adorned some elegant vintage watches. Settimo also features an innovative case fastening system, for which a patent has been filed.
In my opinion, something that the Perpetual 1908 line might have been missing. A big plus is also the fact that it is not an Oyster or Jubilee, but a completely new bracelet.
Watch premieres 2025: Pastel Oyster Perpetual modelsFollowing the success of the Celebration and Oyster Perpetual lacquered dial series, Rolex presented new variants of the Oyster Perpetual collection with a matte finish at this year’s Watches & Wonders trade fair – in shades of lavender, beige and pistachio.

In terms of the movement, the Oyster Perpetual 28 is powered by calibre 2232. The Oyster Perpetual 36 and 41, on the other hand, use calibre 3230.
Watch premieres 2025: Sky Dweller with a new faceThe most complicated watch in the Rolex range to date, the Rolex Sky-Dweller , also has a new dial colour . The watch is equipped with an annual Saros calendar and the Ring Command system. It displays the time in two time zones simultaneously, as well as the day and month. The second time zone (also known as the "reference time") is indicated by a small triangle with a red border, located above the rotating 24-hour dial.

By turning the fluted bezel counterclockwise, the user selects what to set. First recess: date and month. Second recess: local time. Third recess: reference time. Now, the Sky-Dweller in yellow gold has a new “face.” The brand has introduced a new, intense green dial in the characteristic shade of Rolex.
Watch premieres 2025: Rolex Datejust 31 – concentric shading and diamondsFinally, a classic from Rolex – the Datejust model, but in a version with a 31-mm case made of 18-karat yellow gold.
The Datejust, debuting in 1945, was the first automatic, waterproof wrist chronometer to display the date in a window at 3 o'clock on the dial. The now famous "Cyclops eye" was added in 1953, and the Rolex Datejust became one of the most iconic and recognizable watches in the world. Especially with the Jubilee bracelet, designed to commemorate Rolex's 40th anniversary.

In 1957 , a women's version of the Datejust was created, measuring 26 mm in diameter (28 mm today): the Oyster Perpetual Lady-Datejust. Over the years, we have seen various versions of the Rolex Datejust, especially when it comes to dials. Set with diamonds or made of mother-of-pearl, available in silver, eggplant purple or finished with a sunburst. The same goes for the bezels - smooth, domed, fluted or decorated with diamonds.
This year, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the first Datejust, Rolex presented a new version of the Datejust 31, ref. 278285RBR. The novelty is the red, shaded dial. The dial is illuminated by a light shade in the center, which fades into deep black around the outer edge. The production of these dials with concentric shading is based on the application of black lacquer. It is a delicate operation, supervised by a specialist whose task is to ensure a harmonious transition from color to darkness.
The dial is decorated with 10 diamond hour markers. The diamonds are set in 18-karat gold. They can also be found on the watch's bezel. The technique of decorating objects by setting their surfaces with precious stones is called camerazowanie in jewelry and watchmaking.
The new Rolex Datejust 31 ref. 278285RBR is equipped with a President bracelet with semi-circular, three-piece links. It was developed in 1956 to celebrate the launch of the Oyster Perpetual Day-Date.
Rolex news that just came out of the shadowsAlthough this year's Watches & Wonders fair was marked by the spectacular premiere of the Land-Dweller, it should be noted that Rolex smuggled in a whole series of interesting new products in its shadow. From the Rolex GMT-Master II with tiger iron, through the Perpetual 1908 with a Settimo bracelet, to the pastel Oyster Perpetual models or the turquoise Daytona. And although not all of these watches had a chance to shine during the fair, they are now coming out of the shadows.
