ZUS may not accept the application. Children will lose money from 800 plus

• A parent who manages to send the application by the end of June will receive the 800 plus compensation for that month and will not lose financially.
• If the 800 plus application is submitted in July or later, the benefit will be paid from the month of submission of the application - without retroactive compensation.
• ZUS has until August to process June applications. Applications with errors require further explanation. Moreover, ZUS does not accept applications retroactively.

ZUS points out that most parents have already sent the required application for 800 plus and have also received the benefit for the first month of the new payment period, i.e. for June.

According to the data from the Institution, guardians have applied for benefits for almost 7 million children so far. But there are those who have forgotten about the application or are delaying its submission.

The Department usually processes applications much faster, but there are also applications with errors, which require further explanation and therefore more time to process.

ZUS also does not accept retroactive applications. If the 800 plus application is submitted in July or later, the benefit will be paid from the month of submission of the application - without retroactive compensation.

The amount of benefits paid exceeded PLN 5 billion. Further payments are being prepared on an ongoing basis.

ZUS only accepts electronic applications and pays benefits non-cash - to the bank accounts of beneficiaries.

Applications can be submitted via the Electronic Services Platform (PUE)/eZUS, the Emp@tia portal, electronic banking and the free mZUS mobile application.

800 plus is available for every child up to the age of 18 , regardless of the guardian's income. Since June this year , there is one exception, which concerns refugees from Ukraine.

According to the new regulations , they can only receive the child benefit for children who attend a Polish school or a so-called zero-year school. This condition does not have to be met by younger children who are not yet subject to compulsory education.
