On the 10th day of his mission on the International Space Station (ISS), Polish astronaut Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski worked on five experiments and conducted educational and promotional activities, the Polish Space Agency (POLSA) reported on Sunday. The mission's goals have been completed at 78.6 percent.

"We are inevitably approaching the end of the IGNIS mission. Another busy day is behind us, this time focused on technological and scientific experiments," POLSA wrote in its latest report.

The Polish astronaut worked on Sunday on the Scalable Radiation Monitor experiments (the experiment has been correctly installed and is ready to operate on board the ISS) and Wireless Acoustics, which has already been 100% completed.

He also continued his work on AstroMentalHealth, MXene in LEO and EEG Neurofeedback. The AstroMentalHealth experiment examines the impact of space on the astronaut's mental state and well-being. Mxene in LEO examines the performance of heart rate monitors with nanomaterial sensors. EEG Neurofeedback examines how isolation and microgravity affect, among other things, astronauts' stress levels.

"Despite the fact that no official connections with the International Space Station were planned today, we saw Sławosz (almost) live eating a Polish delicacy, pierogi. As announced, our astronaut, together with the commander of the Ax-4 mission Peggy Whitson, recorded a video from the series: Ax-4 mission update. The conversation about the current status of the Ax-4 mission began with a story about one of the most famous Polish dishes," POLSA noted.

Uznański-Wiśniewski, as part of his educational and promotional activities, completed an experiment on the Magnus effect and worked on recording activities related to everyday life on the ISS.

"Current status of implementation of basic mission objectives: 78.6 percent," POLSA reported.

The agency announced that on Monday at 12:30 at the Copernicus Science Centre a live call between the Polish astronaut and journalists will begin.

As the mission contractor Axiom pointed out, Uznański-Wiśniewski will speak about the significance of the Ax-4 mission and the role he himself plays in achieving Poland's scientific goals. "The contribution he made on board the space station is a source of pride for his country's growing presence in space," Axiom emphasized. (PAP)
