A historic situation in the PlusLiga! There has never been a champion like this
We will soon find out which team will reach for the gold medal of the PlusLiga in the 2024/2025 season. The champion will be Bogdanka LUK Lublin or Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie. It is worth recalling that for both teams this could be the first such title in history.
The fourth match of the PlusLiga finals in the 2024/2025 season will take place on Saturday. Currently, the volleyball players of Bogdanka LUK Lublin are leading 2:1 in the competition for the gold medal, having won the first two matches, but in Sosnowiec the players of the club from Zawiercie proved to be better. Saturday's match may therefore turn out to be the last clash in this PlusLiga season, but it does not necessarily have to be so.

Regardless of the final result, it will certainly be written quite strongly in the history of Polish volleyball. It is worth recalling that neither the team from Lublin nor the team from Zawiercie have ever won the Polish championship.
The "Jurajscy Rycerze" were definitely closer to the gold medal in the PlusLiga earlier, and in the 2023/2024 season they reached the vice-championship, losing in the final to Jastrzębski Węgiel.
LUK was also closest to the medal zone in the 2023/2024 season. At that time, the team from Lublin was ranked fifth in the table at the highest level of competition in Poland.
The fourth final match of this season will take place on Saturday, May 10. If Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie tips the scales of victory in their favor, the fifth and certainly last match will be played on Tuesday, May 13.
