Barkom still in the fight to stay up. Skra with two points in the table

Barkom Każany Lviv lost 2:3 to PGE GiEK Skra Bełchatów in the match of the 26th round of the PlusLiga volleyball. The MVP of the match was chosen as the guests' middle blocker - Bartłomiej Lemański. The Ukrainian team is still fighting to stay in the league table, losing five points to a safe position.
From the beginning of the match, the Barkom volleyball players imposed their high tempo. Lorenzo Pope, supported by Wasyl Tupczij, performed excellently. On the other side, however, there was no shortage of solid resistance, especially in the block element. The Bełchatów team, considered the favorites, had to face the difficult task of stopping the rushing Lviv team. In the very end, it was the hosts who returned to the game and, after Tupczij's attack, won the first set.
The second set was again a big advantage for Barkom, who were smashing their opponents with their serve. Rune Fasteland joined the aforementioned pair and at one point the score was 17:13. Suddenly, however, Barkom's game completely broke down and Skra came to the rescue. After blocks by Bartłomiej Lemański and Pavle Perić, the Bełchatów team smelled blood and won 21:25.

In the third set, Barkom players gained the advantage from the beginning. Pope worked brilliantly on the net, while Amin Esmaeilnezhad responded on the other side. However, it was not enough to stop the rushing Lviv players. The last ball belonged to Fasteland and the hosts were already assured of at least one point.
The fourth set of the competition was the most intense, with both teams fighting to stay in the game. Skra wanted to stay in the match, while Barkom was still collecting points to stay in the league. Both teams were evenly matched, and the very end was full of emotions. Perić explained everything in the very end, showing off a spectacular block on the Lviv attacker.
The tie-break was already a clear advantage for the Bełchatów team, who, irritated by the previous sets, clearly got down to work. On the other side, there was a sense of impotence at the net. The Barkom players stopped even on a single block by their opponents. In the very end, Pope was caught by just such a surprise. Tupczij was still harassing his opponents from the service field at the very end, but it was not enough. Skra ended the entire match with an effective attack from the second line.
