Basketball. King's second defeat in Sopot

King's basketball players lost the second quarter-final match of the Orlen Basket League in Sopot and are moving further and further away from the semi-finals. I can stay in the game in the next matches in Szczecin - certain on Monday and possible on Wednesday.
Trefl Sopot - King Szczecin 72:66 (14:13, 20:16, 17:18, 21:19)
King: Isaiah Whitehead 25, Aleksander Dziewa 13, Kassim Nicholson 10, Tony Meier 7, Jovan Novak 4, James Woodard 4, Mateusz Kostrzewski 2, Przemysław Żołnierewicz 1, Adam Brenk 0, Marcus Lee 0, Maciej Żmudzki 0.
The trip to Sopot ended with two defeats for King. While Wednesday's match ended in a dramatic finish, the second quarter-final was decidedly more under Trefl's control and ended with the clearest win in the direct confrontation of both teams this season.
Trefl started the second match without Schenk, who was suspended for one match for a foul on Dziewa in the first match. However, this did not prevent the Polish champions from leading for over 24 minutes and deciding the second match in their favor. Trefl could count on Zyskowski in the end and thanks to his hits beat King.
The visitors entered the match with a small series of 0:6 after Nicholson's goal. At some point, however, the initiative began to be taken over by the Sopot players. Important actions were finished by Johnson and Witliński. Later, Best also joined the attack and after his throws after 10 minutes the score was 14:13. In the second quarter, after Groselle's actions, Trefl jumped ahead by seven points. Then, after Novak's free throws, the visitors lost by only two points. Finally, thanks to Johnson's hits, the first half ended with the score 34:29.
After a long break, coach Miłoszewski's team gradually reduced the deficit and regained the lead after Meier's three-pointer. Ultimately, after 30 minutes, the score was 51:47, but in the fourth quarter, coach Żan Tabak's team jumped ahead by 11 points. King tied the score with less than two minutes to go. In the end, Zyskowski's actions secured the victory for Trefl, which will have a chance to advance to the semi-finals on Monday at the Netto Arena. In order to stay in the game for medals, King must win the next two matches in Szczecin and defeat Trefl in the decisive match in Sopot. (voivodeship)
