Diamond League in Eugene. Anita Włodarczyk and Wojciech Nowicki start. TV broadcast and online stream

The most interesting events during the competition in Eugene will be the ones that are not "diamond" ones.

The hammer throw competition will open the competition in the USA. The field is strong, both in the men's and women's competitions. The first to enter the circle will be the men, and among them, in addition to Nowicki, are the 2023 world champion and Olympic champion from Paris, Canadian Ethan Katzberg, and the bronze medalist from last year's games, Ukrainian Mykhailo Kochan.

Włodarczyk will compete in the women's competition, and her rivals will include the 2023 world champion and Olympic champion from Paris, Canadian Camryn Rogers, and American Annette Echikunwoke, silver medalist at the last games.

The discus throw competition, another non-diamond event, also looks very interesting. In Eugene, the Olympic champion from Paris, Jamaican Roje Stona, the current world record holder, Lithuanian Mykolas Alekna, and the 2023 world champion and Olympic champion from Tokyo, Swede Daniel Stahl, will compete for victory.

The penultimate event of Saturday's competition is strongly lined up - the women's 100 m race. All the medalists from last year's Olympic Games in Paris will start in it - gold Julien Alfred from Santa Lucia and the Americans: silver medalist Sha'Carri Richardson and bronze Melissa Jefferson-Wooden. The second in the world ranking, British Dina Asher-Smith, will also compete in Eugene.

In the pole vault competition, fans will be able to watch the world record holder and Olympic champion from Paris, the Swede Armand Duplantis, in action. Last year's silver medalist from the games, the American Sam Kendricks, and the experienced Frenchman Renaud Lavillenie, Olympic champion from London, will also compete in Eugene.

In all the competitions scheduled for Saturday, 98 Olympic and Paralympic medalists will compete, including 48 gold.

The ninth Diamond League meeting this year will be held at Hayward Field, which was rebuilt for the 2022 World Championships in Eugene. The Polish team won four medals in this event: gold and three silver. Paweł Fajdek became the world champion in hammer throw for the fifth time in a row.

TV broadcast and online stream of the Diamond League meeting in Eugene on Saturday, July 5 from 9:30 p.m. on Polsat Sport Premium 1 and on Polsat Box Go, and from 10:00 p.m. on Polsat Sport 1.
