Grado. Falkowska's defeat in the doubles quarterfinals
One of these tournaments is a WTA 125 event in Grado, Italy. Tennis players compete there on clay, and the doubles ladder includes Weronika Falkowska and Noma Noha Akugue.
The Pole and the German won the first round match there and in the quarter finals a difficult task awaited them. The pair's opponents were the tournament's "twos" - Renata Zarazua and Kimberley Zimmermann.
In the first set of the duel, the Pole and the German proved to be better and triumphed with a score of 6:4. Such an advantage allowed them to think optimistically about the further course of the match, but their rivals did not intend to give up.
The second set was full of breaks and twists. There were five "breaks" and the set ultimately went to the Belgian and Mexican with a score of 7:5.
The match had to be decided by a super tie-break. The extra game proved to be as close as the whole match. Zarazua and Zimmermann won it 11-9 and they will play in Grado in the semi-finals.
