Below we rate Poles on a scale of 1-10:

Coach Adam Majewski did not surprise with the first eleven for the match with Georgians. From the starting line-up, one could also expect how we would play, that is, mainly using the side sectors, which was to be taken care of by the shuttles Dominik Marczuk and Arkadiusz Pyrka, as well as the higher-positioned Kacper Kozłowski and, above all, Mariusz Fornalczyk. How did it work out in reality on the pitch in Żylina?

KACPER TOBIAS – 5

Although it's almost mid-June, he must have been freezing in the first half - he didn't have a single intervention. Although once he was put on a mine by a teammate who made a bad pass, he had to chase the ball heading towards his goal. An intervention in stoppage time? Finger-licking good, the fact that the referee whistled a Georgian foul shortly after doesn't change the assessment. In the opponents' last action, he could have expected anything, but not that the ball wouldn't go over the line.

ARIEL MOSÓR – 5

In the 8th minute, he hit the post after a corner kick, which is how he distinguished himself in the attack. A good performance by the Raków Częstochowa defender until the break. He won aerial duels with the Georgians, confident in interventions. But at the beginning of the second half, he did not reach Nodar Lominadze, who scored a goal. Mosór was aware of his mistake, because he lay with his head buried in the grass for a long time.

PATRICK PEDA – 6

In the 13th minute he didn't intercept the ball flying through the penalty area and things got heated. A similar performance to Ariak Mosór, effectively taking away the desire to play from the highest placed Giorgi Abuashvili.

MICHAEL GURGUL – 5

Like the other defenders – a generally decent match for the Lech Poznań player. His balance is three won duels out of four, flawless in the air – two such duels and two won.

DOMINIK MARCZUK – 5

He started very actively, ventured forward, then took a few remarks on the line from coach Adam Majewski and played more conservatively. But this clearly resulted from the whole disposition of our team, which – especially before the break – played in a medium pressing position.

ARKADIUSZ PYRKA – 3

He spent the spring round in Piast's freezer and probably didn't fully thaw out. A weak performance by a player who played on the right wing. He should have given Ariel Mosór a big orange soda during the break for intercepting the ball that the faster Georgian was rushing towards. There were more such actions in which he couldn't keep up with his opponents.

KACPER KOZŁOWSKI – 3

Definitely not aggressive enough, one could have expected him to try to break apart the Georgian defense more often. Only two successful dribbles (in four positions) in an hour of play is not much for a player playing in his position. Substituted in the 64th minute.

JAKUB KAŁUZINSKI – 5

Together with Antoni Kozubal, they were supposed to secure the midfield and they did a good job. However, there was a lack of specifics up front, although Kałuziński was very dangerous in scoring from a set piece in the 60th minute of the match. He confidently converted a penalty, which made it 1:1. One of the team's brighter points.

ANTONI KOZUBAL – 4

He came close to scoring before the break, hitting the post after a dynamic move by Fornalczyk. One dribble won, two duels won, one in the air – not enough.

MARIUSZ FORNALCZYK – 6

The Georgians had to wait a dozen or so minutes until Fornalczyk began serving his signature dish, namely runs, in which he passes his rivals. The most active in offensive actions among our players. It was after his action, when he was not afraid to dribble in front of three opponents, that he was fouled, for which we got a penalty.

FILIP SZYMCZAK – 3

Firmly on his feet, as in the 16th surrounded by three rivals, already on his knees, but he got up, passed to his partner. Apart from that, not very visible, in the 55th minute he cleared the ball too short after a cross, which resulted in a goal action by the Georgians. Embroiled in ten duels, of which he won four.

KAJETAN SZMYT – 6

A very good substitution by the Zagłębie Lubin player. It was after his play that Fornalczyk had an action in which he was fouled for a penalty. He passed the ball to Ariel Mosór's head, after which the Georgian goalkeeper had to prove himself.

TOMASZ PIEŃKO – 4

He got 25 minutes, but during that time he only passed twice (accurately, actually), without a successful dribble and a won duel...

VIKTOR THE BORROWER – 4

He replaced Szymczak in the second half, but it's hard to say it changed the complexion of the game.

Michał Rakoczy – we would write that he played too short to be assessed, but... it's unbelievable what he did in injury time, when he allowed the ball rolling out of the pitch to be thrown into the penalty area. It was after this mistake that the decisive goal was scored.
