Hubert Hurkacz's great comeback! The Pole got the audience going

The Wrocław native has not been able to boast particularly successful performances in recent weeks, or rather months. And that's a mild description, because the tennis player who was in the top ten of the ATP rankings last year is now far below his actual skills.
The Pole in Rome was seeded in the tournament bracket in Rome (ATP 1000) with number 30. His first opponent was the Spaniard Pedro Martinez. Interestingly, he had not won any of the previous four matches with the Pole. It was no different on Saturday, early afternoon. Hurkacz won in two sets 6:1, 7:5.
ATP 1000 Rome: Hubert Hurkacz with a valuable advancement to the third round of the tournamentThere was a lot of excitement especially in the second part of the match. The Pole managed to come back from a 1:4 and 2:5 deficit, winning five games in a row in key moments of the match. The fans cheered after Hurkacz's successful plays on court number 14 in Rome.
It is possible that a win over Martinez will make Hurkacz one of the players seeded for the Grand Slam challenge at Roland Garros in Paris. The Pole needs such victories in high-profile tournaments. It is worth adding that last season the Wrocław player reached the quarter-finals of the tournament in the Italian capital.
Who will be the Pole's opponent in the third round? Looking at the tournament bracket, it seemed that the most likely scenario would be a clash with the American Taylor Fritz. Looking at the seeding, the challenge was supposed to be big, because we are talking about a player who is number 4. In the intra-American duel, Fritz sensationally lost to Marcos Giron. And it is the 31-year-old tennis player from the USA, currently 45th in the world in the ATP ranking, who will be the opponent of the Wrocław player.
Hurkacz has gotten used to the fact that on a good day he can beat anyone. The problem, however, is stabilizing his form, especially since the Pole suffered a serious knee injury. In Rome, Hurkacz is playing in a special stabilizer that protects his knee.
