Long-awaited debut in the Polish national team. The beginning of a new era?

The June training camp of the Polish national football team is a visit to the Silesian Voivodeship. It is there, more specifically in Katowice and Chorzów, that coach Michał Probierz's team spent the last few days, counting from Monday (i.e. June 2). First, the Poles will play a friendly match at the Silesian Stadium against Moldova. On the occasion of the match, it will be an opportunity for a symbolic, but oh-so-important farewell to Kamil Grosicki .

The offensive player will start the match as the captain of the national team, getting half an hour of play to say goodbye to the Polish audience. In his beloved, as he has often said and emphasized, football team. The most important one, looking at the size of the Polish team.

There is no doubt that without Skrzypczak, Jagiellonia would certainly not have achieved such successes, which reached the national championship in the 2023/24 season. The Białystok team did not defend the title last season, but they added another important scalp, namely reaching the quarter-finals of the UEFA Conference League. Jagiellonia lost only to Real Betis, the later finalist of the match in Wrocław.

Skrzypczak has already been called up by coach Probierz to the national team, but in the friendly match against Moldova he will get a chance for an official, full debut. Interestingly, the player comes from Poznań, where he took his first steps in Lech's academy. He even became the Polish champion with Kolejorz in the 2021/22 season. However, Skrzypczak decided to choose his own path, wanting to play regularly and not wait for his minutes in Poznań.
