PGE Start Lublin has signed a contract with Jordan Wright

A graduate of The Dunham School, he became the first player to have his number retired for his high school basketball career. He played the first four years of his college career for the Vanderbilt Commodores, but transferred to the LSU Tigers for his final NCAA season, where he averaged over 15 points and 5 rebounds per game.

In Europe, he played for Turkey's Aliaga Petkim Sport, with whom he qualified for the Champions Basketball League. However, during the season, he returned to the United States, where he played for Motor City Cruise, a team directly affiliated with the NBA's Detroit Pistons. For Cruise in the G League, he averaged 8.3 points per game.

As a reminder, the Orlen Basket League season kicks off in October, and the "red and black" team's first opponent will be Legia Warsaw. This match will take place in the capital on October 5th. However, it's worth noting that the Lublin team has some very important events coming up in September. From September 20th to 24th, they will compete in Bulgaria for a spot in the Champions Basketball League. They'll face Spanish side UCAM Murcia in the quarterfinals (September 20th, 8:00 PM).

In a possible semifinal, the opponent will be the better of the pair: Karhu Basket Kauhajoki vs. Uniclub Bet-Juventus Utena (September 22, 3:30 p.m.). The final is scheduled for Wednesday, September 24 (7 p.m.). On September 27-28, PGE Start will play in the Pekao SA Polish Super Cup.
