Table tennis. LZS Provincial Championship in Bierzwnik

The West Pomeranian Voivodeship Open Championships of the LZS (People's Sports Teams) in table tennis were held in Bierzwnik, and the tournament attracted players from all over the region.

In the singles games, the matches were played in a knockout format up to two losses for 3rd place. The doubles games were played in a knockout format with elimination after the lost match and a match for 3rd place between the losers of the semi-finals.

Among the boys, Antoni Kruszak (STS Dębno) won, Aleksander Kurasz (KTBC Człopa) was second, and Karol Ślusarczyk (Iskra Łasko) was third. Among the girls, Barbara Kossowska (Perła Połczyn-Zdrój) won, Hania Jelonek (Griffin's-Spin Szczecin) was second, and Marta Ślusarczyk (Iskra Łasko) was third. In the youth category, Kryspin Szymanowski (Iskra Łasko) won, ahead of Wiktoria Kaliciak (Zalew Stepnica) and Stanisław Cydzik (SALOS Szczecin). Among the older youth, Wiktor Jelonek (Griffin's-Spin Szczecin) was the best, ahead of Michał Cydzik and Mieszek Nowakowski (both SALOS Szczecin). In the senior category, Kamil Nalepa (Griffin's-Spin Szczecin) won, Patryk Stanisławczyk (Griffin's-Spin Szczecin) was second, and Andrzej Mozol (Trzynastka Szczecin) was third. In the veterans, first place was taken by Paweł Sak (Szczecin), second by Roman Polewczak (Perła Połczyn-Zdrój), and third by Tomasz Bednarski (Griffin's-Spin Szczecin). In the veterans +, Wiesław Chabraszewski (Zalew Stepnica) won, ahead of Antoni Biedziuk (Szczecinek) and Lesław Gałkowski (STS Dębno). In the doubles, the duet Nalepa/Kaliciak won, ahead of the pair of Stanisławczyk/Wiktor Jelonek and Wojciech Kuc/Mozol. In the team classification, Iskra Łasko won, second by Griffin's-Spin Szczecin, and third by Piast Gryfino.

The tournament was organized by: West Pomeranian Association of Table Tennis Associations, West Pomeranian Table Tennis Association, Municipal Center of Sports, Recreation and Culture in Bierzwnik, Iskra Łasko and Bierzwnik Commune. The tournament aimed to: select champions in various categories, popularize table tennis in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, activate all environments to practice sports and promote a healthy lifestyle and counteract the phenomena of social pathology.

In Bierzwnik, the qualifications for the Polish Junior Championships were held. Among the junior girls, Barbara Kossowska (Perła Połczyn-Zdrój) won, ahead of Dorota Plonder (UKS 96 Sucha Koszalińska) and Joanna Marcinkiewicz (Perła Połczyn-Zdrój). Among the junior boys, Hubert Jamro (SALOS Szczecin) won, Olaf Zawalski (Teniga Szczecin) was second, and Wojciech Działak (Iskra Łasko) was third.

The two best players in each category advanced to the national tournament. The Polish Junior Championships will take place this coming weekend in Krakow.

The 9th Polish Veterans Grand Prix was held in Poznań. In the age category 65-74, first place was taken by Halina Kiersznicka (Szczecin), and in the men's category 70-74, the tournament was won by Janusz Żukowski (Szczecin).

The 174th FETS tournament and the fifth for the Szczecin championship took place in Fabryka Energii, under the honorary patronage of the mayor of Szczecin, Piotr Krzystek. 36 players took part in the tournament, and the competition took place in four groups: A, B, C and D.

The tournament was won by Jakub Makutynowicz, Michał Szymański was second, and Łukasz Zięcina third. In group B, Paweł Lipiński was the best, ahead of Szymon Nawrot and Jan Merta. In group C, Paweł Kiper won, Michał Bradacz was second, and Sławomir Kaźmierczak third. In group D, Łukasz Galanty was first, Piotr Moroz second, and Konrad Danczewski third.

The tournament series is divided into 10 rounds, and at the end of each round valuable prizes are awarded. The organizer invites all amateurs and fans of table tennis to compete - including children, youth, women and disabled people. The meetings always take place at 110 Łukasińskiego Street. The games start at 10:00.
