They run, throw, jump. The youngest in the Rubinowa Liga Lekkoatletyczna

The spring round of the Rubinowa Liga Lekkoatletyczna has started in Police. It is a series of competitions for children and youth, organized by the Police Sports Club. Last Sunday, about 100 competitors aged 5 to 13 took part. More may join. Because this spring there will be two more such meetings.
The competition includes a quadrathlon in athletics, which includes: a 60-metre run, long jump, palant ball throw and a run over a distance adapted to the age of the participants (100 m for the youngest, 200 m for the U8 category, 400 m for U10 and 600 m for U12 and U16).
The organizers emphasize that the Rubinowa Liga is an excellent opportunity for sporting fun and an introduction to athletics.
- These competitions are a great opportunity for children who are just starting their adventure with sports to try their hand at various competitions and discover their talents - says Paweł Szewczykowski from KS Police. - The result is not the most important thing here, because at these competitions we have fun with athletics.
Anyone interested can join the Rubinowa Liga at any time, regardless of where they live. To do so, go to the Police Sports Club website (kspolice.pl), find the "Rubinowa Liga" tab and fill out the application form. Applications are accepted no later than two days before the start of each meeting. Participation in the competition is free of charge. The next meetings will take place next and the following weekend.
- It is also a great introduction to competitions that are organized on a larger forum, where only competitors from clubs come - adds Paweł Szewczykowski. - Here is a good opportunity for even those who have not yet tried their hand at athletics to come and see. It may turn out that they will really like it. If they are not great runners, we also have throwing competitions here. That is why I encourage those children who do not feel good in fast running to participate. It is also an excuse for parents to encourage those children who are not chosen first in PE lessons to their teams to take part in sports. You have to look for the strengths of each child so that they can also be in this sport. It is about building character.
The event takes place at the OSiR stadium on Piaskowa Street in Police and is aimed at children and youth. ©℗
