Tennis. New partner of Invest in Szczecin Open 2025 - KIA enters the tournament

On Wednesday, a press conference was held at the KIA Polmotor Szczecin showroom, during which the establishment of cooperation between the KIA brand and the Invest in Szczecin Open 2025 tournament was officially announced. The new automotive partner means not only logistical support and a fleet of modern cars, but also a number of activities planned with fans and residents of Szczecin in mind.
- The city of Szczecin has been supporting Invest in Szczecin Open for years, because we see in this event not only promotional potential, but also great value in terms of promoting physical culture. We are pleased that the tournament is becoming stronger year by year, and new partners, such as KIA, see its importance in the sports landscape of Poland - said the deputy mayor of Szczecin, Łukasz Kadłubowski.
This year's edition of the tournament will bring not only sports emotions at the highest level, but also record-breaking organizational changes. From 2025, the prize pool has been increased to USD 200,000, which will make the Szczecin tournament an even more prestigious point in the ATP Challenger Tour calendar. It will still remain a Challenger Tour event. We still have to wait for the increase in rank to ATP 250, which was called for a year ago by the Minister of Sport and Tourism Sławomir Nitras. The Invest in Szczecin Open tournament will take place on September 8-14, 2025, and thanks to cooperation with a new automotive partner, it will benefit not only from the comfort of competitors and guests, but also from the attractiveness of accompanying events and the visibility of the KIA brand among residents and fans. - We know how important an efficient logistics base is for an event of this scale, which is why we are providing the tournament with a full fleet of our modern, electric models. At the same time, we want our presence to be noticeable and engaging. We have prepared a special KIA zone with live music, a photo booth and other attractions, which will become one of the fans' favorite places on the courts. For us, it is not just cooperation, it is participation in something bigger - emphasized KIA Polmotor director Konrad Kijak.
Earlier, the largest tennis event in Poland gained another new main sponsor, ENEA SA
Meanwhile, the next stage of modernization has begun on the courts at al. Wojska Polskiego. The old changing room building and warehouse located next to the new tennis hall are currently being demolished. The scope of the investment, in addition to the demolition of the existing building and the warehouse, also includes the hardening of the area, the construction of sidewalks and access to the central court, along with the implementation of drainage. Additionally, the installation of ball catchers, fencing of the central court and replacement of the brick flour surface on the three main courts are planned. Additionally, this year the lighting of two courts will be modernized with professional LEDs, as well as part of the front fence from ul. Wojska Polskiego. The works are to be completed before the September tournament. (voivodship)
