The Intercontinental round of the Women's Volleyball Nations League has concluded. In the final match of the round, the Chinese team defeated the Americans 3-2. The result of this match was crucial for the Polish team, as it determined the Polish team's opponents in the quarterfinals.

The third week of the group stage of the Women's Volleyball Nations League was played from July 9 to 13. The three tournaments were hosted by the cities of Apeldoorn in the Netherlands, Arlington in the United States, and Chiba in Japan.

Poland finished the Intercontinental Nations League with a record of nine wins and three losses, placing them fourth in the table. Now, Stefano Lavarini's men face the final tournament. As a reminder, this year's tournament will take place in Łódź.

It will be played from July 23rd to 27th. The eight best teams from the regular season will compete at the Atlas Arena in Łódź. The competition will be played in a knockout format (quarterfinals, semifinals, and medal matches).

In the final match of the VNL regular season, China defeated the United States 3-2. They finished fifth in the standings, meaning they will face Poland in the quarterfinals.

The remaining quarter-final pairs are: Italy vs. United States, Brazil vs. Germany and Japan vs. Türkiye.

Previous editions of the Women's Volleyball Nations League were won by the United States (2018, 2019, 2021), Italy (2022, 2024), and Turkey (2023). Poland has won bronze medals twice, in 2023 and 2024.
