The Poles' situation is terrible. The 93rd minute was decisive, a nightmare

The Polish U21 team followed the senior team's example and lost the most important match of the tournament 1:2. Our youth players lost to Georgia, the weakest in the group on paper, after a goal conceded in the 93rd minute.

After the defeat in the first match, it is hard to believe in the chances of success of Adam Majewski's team. The two remaining teams are composed of stars of European football. After the first round, the Poles are in last place in the group with zero points. The Georgians are leading with three "points", while the French and Portuguese have shared the points.

A goalless draw in the duel of the group favorites is a poor consolation in the face of the Poles' defeat, although of course a reversal of the results and advancement to the quarterfinals is still theoretically possible. Both teams that the White and Reds will play had problems creating situations and relied on very physical football.

At the European Championships in Slovakia, Poles will play matches on June 14 at 9:00 p.m. (against Portugal) and June 17 at 6:00 p.m. (against France).
