At the end of May, the Silesia Cup 2025 friendly tournament took place in Katowice and Gliwice, in which the team of coach Nikola Grbić took part. The Serbian coach had the opportunity to test new solutions, looking at the line-up in which the Poles presented themselves to the Silesian audience. In an almost identical set, excluding, among others, Mikołaj Sawicki, who was suspended for a positive anti-doping test .

Due to a completely unexpected situation related to Bogdanka's receiver LUK Lublin, coach Grbić finally took three nominal players in this position to the first tournament in China. Additionally, in addition to the trio of receivers, there is another "difference" in the form of three liberos - also out of necessity.

Ultimately, the Polish coach chose the following line-up: Aliaksei Nasevich and Kewin Sasak as attackers; three receivers: Artur Szalpuk, Rafał Szymura (captain), Michał Gierżot; the libero trio: Mateusz Czunkiewicz, Maksymialn Granieczny and Kuba Hawryluk; middle blockers: Jordan Zaleszczyk, Szymon Jakubiszak, Jakub Nowak, Mateusz Poręba; setters: Łukasz Kozub and Jan Firlej.
