In the first phase of the Women's Volleyball Nations League, 18 teams are competing. The final tournament with eight teams will be played in Łódź from 23 to 27 July. As the hosts of the final event, the Polish team has a guaranteed place in the quarterfinals.

The Women's Volleyball Nations League was first organised in 2018, replacing the World Grand Prix which was held from 1993 to 2017.
Previous editions were won by the teams of the USA (2018, 2019, 2021), Italy (2022, 2024) and Turkey (2023). The Polish team recorded its best performances in the two previous years (2023, 2024), in which they won bronze medals.
