In Seoul, coach Wim Fissette's player will face Australian Joint in the final at approximately 10 a.m. Polish time. The 19-year-old comfortably defeated third-seeded Clara Tauson of Denmark in the quarterfinals, winning 6-0, 6-3, despite trailing 1-3 in the second set.

The tennis player Z Świątek, born in Detroit, USA, who won WTA events in Rabat and Eastbourne this season and was already 37th in the world rankings, and is currently 46th, has not yet had the opportunity to compete on the court.
The semifinals in Seoul offer a $59,000 cash bonus and 195 ranking points. Reaching the final would mean another 130, and a victory is worth a total of 500 points. This achievement will allow the Polish woman to move closer to the leader in the women's tennis rankings, Aryna Sabalenka, who is absent from South Korea. The gap between them currently stands at 3,292.
More important, however, will be the next two tournaments – in Beijing and Wuhan. Victories will be awarded 1,000 points each. Świątek didn't participate in them last year, so she can only gain. Last season, the Belarusian earned 1,215 points for her quarterfinal appearance in Beijing and her victory in Wuhan, and it's already clear she won't play in the Chinese capital.
