Corpus Christi holiday should be a good time for most of Brazil; check the forecast
According to Aleff Matos, a meteorologist at Climatempo, the action of a large mass of dry air that has formed in recent days should act as an atmospheric blockade at least until Saturday (21).
🔄Atmospheric blockages are high-pressure systems that are established at mid-levels of the atmosphere and intensify the circulation of air from top to bottom. These phenomena favor the increase in temperatures and prevent the formation of large rain clouds. In addition, they hinder the advance of cold fronts through the interior of the country .
Therefore, there is no forecast of significant amounts of rain for the capital.
"Most of the time, the weather will be stable, with plenty of sunshine. The afternoons should get warmer and the nights should be colder, with days of wide temperature variations," explains the meteorologist.
According to the expert, the capital may experience light and isolated rain between the end of the afternoon and the beginning of the night on Saturday , when a cold front is expected to pass away, on the high seas.
Check the weather in São Paulo:
- ⛅ Thursday (19), maximum of 26ºC and minimum of 13ºC
- ⛅ Friday (20), maximum of 27ºC and minimum of 14ºC
- ⛅ Saturday (21), maximum of 26ºC and minimum of 16ºC
- ⛅ Sunday (22), maximum of 25ºC and minimum of 16ºC
The next few days also mark the end of autumn and the beginning of winter, which begins this Friday (20), at 11:42 pm.
The forecast indicates that the season should have rainfall and temperature patterns within the normal range of recent years.

❄️The new season will run until 3:19pm on September 22nd.
A period of lower solar radiation intensity throughout the year, winter is characterized by lower temperatures and shorter days.
The rain tends to be concentrated mainly on the coastal strip of the Southeast, with cold oceanic fronts and a little more intense.
In 2025, the season is not expected to deviate much from this pattern. According to Climatempo, the season should have temperatures close to normal and rainfall very close to average, concentrated in coastal areas.
➡️The situation should be very different from that observed in 2023 and 2024, when the winter had temperatures above average and rainfall below average.
