Didi scores again and is decisive

Nearly 200 spectators at Aveiro Municipal Stadium watched Beira-Mar lift the Black and Gold Passion Trophy yesterday morning, defeating Paredes of Liga 3, 1-0. The northern team, as if demonstrating why they belong to a higher division, almost always demonstrated greater territorial dominance and created more and better scoring opportunities. However, the Aveiro team, very effective defensively and well-organized on the field, ultimately won the match with a fine second-half goal from Didi. The forward, who played little last season due to injury, is already establishing himself as the Beira-Mar team's biggest "reinforcement" for the new season. And while Didi has shone brightest in attack, it's fair to highlight Diogo Abdul in defense—also playing very little last season due to physical problems—who put in a superb performance playing as a center-back alongside Sérgio Silva.
