Ethics Council will be responsible for judging the removal of mutinous deputies

The Chamber of Deputies Ethics Council will be the body responsible for evaluating the punishment for the deputies involved in the mutiny promoted by the opposition to impede the work of the House plenary.
Together, the main Centrão parties (MDB, União, PP, PSD, Republicanos, Podemos) have a majority in the collegiate - of the 21 seats (see who the deputies are below), these parties have 11 representatives in the commission, chaired by Fábio Schiochet (União-SC).
Estadão reported that, after a meeting of the Board of Directors, the Speaker of the House, Hugo Motta (Republicanos-PB), decided he could suspend the mandates of up to six months for five members: Marcos Pollon (PL-MS), Marcel van Hattem (Novo-RS), Júlia Zanatta (PL-SC), Zé Trovão (PL-SC), and Camila Jara. The latter will have her case analyzed in a separate complaint, as it is an offshoot of the riot and not an obstruction of the Board itself. She is accused of assault by Representative Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) during the confusion and denies it. Other members will only be warned.
On Friday the 6th, the General Secretariat of the Board decided to forward all complaints filed against representatives involved in this week's riot to the Chamber's Internal Affairs Office. The Internal Affairs Office, Representative Diego Coronel (PSD-BA), received the documents and forwarded them to the Ethics Committee. Coronel is scheduled to meet with Motta this Monday the 11th.
After the complaint reaches the Ethics Council, a drawing will be held to determine the rapporteur. According to the rules, a list of three candidates is drawn. Members of the Ethics Council may be on this list, but there are restrictions. The potential rapporteur cannot be from the same state or the same party or federation as the person being represented.
Individually, the PL (Brazilian Socialist Party) has the most seats on the Ethics Council, with four. It is followed by the PT-PCdoB-PV federation, with three seats. The MDB, União, PP, PSD, and Republicanos parties each have four seats, while Podemos, PSOL, PSDB, Cidadania, and PDT each have one seat.
