Fernando Queiroga joins the leadership of the PSD parliamentary group

The parliamentary leader of the Social Democratic Party, Hugo Soares, was elected with 96.6%, with 86 votes in favor, two blank votes and one invalid vote.

In addition to the vice-presidents, the board of directors is made up of two secretaries from the Parliamentary Group. Fernando Queiroga made his debut as a deputy this month, when he was elected in the May legislative elections for the Vila Real constituency and was chosen by the leader of the parliamentary group for this position.

He is accompanied by João Antunes dos Santos, elected by Leiria, who is the other secretary of the bench.

Hugo Soares invited four new vice-presidents to the group, including former Secretaries of State Cristina Vaz Tomé and Paulo Lopes Marcelo, as well as deputy Bruno Ventura, elected by Lisbon, and deputy Dulcineia Moura, elected by Guarda, and who was, in the last legislature, secretary of the parliamentary group.

The PSD's general secretary also proposed the continuity of eight of the 12 vice-presidents: the former president of the Portuguese Medical Association Miguel Guimarães, the former deputy general secretary Hugo Carneiro, the former Secretary of State Regina Bastos, the municipal coordinator Pedro Alves, the former president of the Rio Maior Chamber Isaura Morais, the former leader of the JSD Alexandre Poço, the deputy for Lisbon António Rodrigues and the deputy Andreia Neto, elected for Porto.

The previous leadership of the bench included Cristóvão Norte, who will be a candidate for the Faro Municipal Council, Hugo Oliveira, a candidate for the Caldas da Rainha Council, João Valle e Azevedo, who is part of the Government as Secretary of State for the Presidency, and Silvério Regalado, now Secretary of State for Local Administration.
