Guarda – AD and Chega with more votes than in 2024

Dulcineia Catarina Moura (AD), Nuno Simões de Melo (Chega) and Aida Carvalho (PS) are the deputies for the Guarda district, in the legislative elections this Sunday, May 18th.
In the Guarda circle, AD and Chega had a higher vote than in 2024 and the PS lost 5,583 votes in relation to the 2024 legislative elections.
The AD won in 13 of the fourteen municipalities in the Guarda district (except in Manteigas where the PS was the most voted party), and obtained 39.56% and 32,291 votes, 3,258 more than in the 2024 elections.
In the district, the PS obtained 26.40% and 21,550 votes, 5,538 fewer than in the previous legislative elections. Chega obtained 21.13% and 17,247 votes, 1,426 more than in 2024.
The Liberal Initiative (IL) registered 2.44% and 1,994 votes, an increase of 81 votes compared to the last legislative elections. It was followed by the ADN (2.03% and 1,660 votes), but with 581 fewer votes compared to 2024; the Livre obtained 1.51% and 1,229 votes, 78 more compared to the previous elections. The CDU obtained 1.27% and 1,037 votes, 295 fewer than in 2024.
Bloco de Esquerda got 1.24% and 1,010 votes, 1,291 fewer than in 2024.
In Sunday's elections, the Guarda constituency had 139,506 voters, 1,930 fewer than in 2024, with 58.51% voting (60.17% in 2024) and abstention being 41.49% (39.83% in 2024).
