KCCA wins medals and international qualifications in Montemor-o-Velho
The event, considered the most important of the time because it was held over Olympic distances, featured two intense days of competition.
The team won several medals and placed 10th overall in the track event. Among the highlights were the national titles won by Inês Carapinha and Clélia Santos (K2 juniors), Ana Bebiano (K1 500m masters B), Oleksandr Oliferenko (C1 1000m masters A), and Norberto Mourão (VL2 500m and 200m).

- Clelia Santos, Lara Caracol, Sara Moleiro and Sofia Guerreiro – K4 junior 500m
- Iago Bebiano – K1 200m senior
In addition to the medalists, the KCCA integrated several athletes who contributed with good classifications: Iara Bebiano, Joshua Guerreiro, Miguel Costa, David Costa, Diogo Araújo, Nuno Silva, Orlando Silva, Sérgio Carapinha and Daniel Gonçalves.
The cadet competition, which takes place on August 2nd and 3rd, will determine the final collective ranking, adding to the results already obtained. The club thanks the municipality of Lagoa for their support and transportation provided for this trip.
Representing the National Team, Ianis Bebiano and Inês Carapinha will compete in the Junior and U23 World Championships, also in Montemor-o-Velho, from July 23rd to 27th. Ianis will compete in the K4 500m, and Inês will compete in the K1 and K2 500m.
Diogo Araújo and David Costa will also be present, representing the Cape Verdean national team.
