Paulo Reis resigns as president of CDC Montalegre

“I am addressing you with the sense of responsibility that has always guided my connection to our club. For personal and professional reasons, I feel the need to resign as president of Montalegre.”
This is how Paulo Reis addresses the fans of the Montalegre Sports and Cultural Centre (CDC). He admits that it is a “difficult” decision, but one taken “with the clear conscience of someone who has always given his best for the club and the land he loves”.
“I would like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has walked alongside me over the years. To my fellow directors, all the employees, athletes and coaches, I would like to express my gratitude for their dedication, effort and spirit of unity,” he said, adding “a very special thank you to our sponsors, whose trust and support have been fundamental to the club’s growth.”
And he also does not forget the Municipality of Montalegre, “whose contribution and partnership allowed us to achieve achievements that, I believe, will only be duly valued and recognized in many years’ time”.
He guarantees that “this is not goodbye” and that “I will always be available to collaborate and help our club”, especially because “my connection to this institution and this land will never cease to be a pillar of my life”.
Paulo Reis leaves his position as president of CDC Montalegre, a position he has held for the last 15 years, although his connection to the club began much earlier, when he was still a player.
At a time when information is more important than ever, support regional and local journalism. Access to most of VTM's news is (still) free, but it is not free of charge. Journalism costs money and requires investment. This contribution is a way of directly supporting A Voz de Trás-os-Montes and its journalists. Our contribution is independent and local journalism, but not only that. It is continuing to inform despite all the contingencies of confinement, without having stopped for a single day.
