Rosmaninho was the most awarded olive oil in the National Competition

Rosmaninho Olive Oil, from the Valpaços Olive Growers' Cooperative, was the most awarded in this year's edition of the Portuguese National Olive Oil Competition.

In the competition held this month at the National Agriculture Fair in Santarém, Rosmaninho won seven medals, including “Best on the Market”, “Large Lots” and “Prestige”, the three most exclusive awards, which, according to the Valpaços local authority, “leaves no room for doubt” as to the quality of this olive oil.

The Madural Gourmet Rosemary won the gold medal in the Best on the Market category. In the case of the Praemium Rosemary, three medals were awarded: the Prestige medal, the gold medal in the intense green fruity Great Producer category, and the gold medal in the National Agriculture Fair Large Lots award.

Organic Rosmaninho was awarded the gold medal in the organic production method category, Medium Green Fruity.

Rosmaninho Grand Selection received the gold medal in the ripe fruit category – Great Producer. And Rosmaninho Gourmet Verdeal was awarded the bronze medal in the medium green fruit category – Great Producer.

Porca de Murça Olive Oil, from the Murça Olive Growers' Cooperative, won the gold medal in the Trás-os-Montes DOP Olive Oil category and the silver medal in the Intense Green Fruity – Large Producer category.

In turn, Valle Pradinhos Olive Oil, produced in Macedo de Cavaleiros, won the gold medal in the organic production method category – Soft Green Fruity.

Acushla, produced in Vila Flor, was awarded the bronze medal in the Fruity Green Soft Large Producer category.
