Summer in Tavira brings a concert by Mayra Andrade to the Palácio da Galeria Park

Cape Verdean artist Mayra Andrade will take to the stage at Parque do Palácio da Galeria, in Tavira, on July 30th, at 10 pm, in a concert dedicated to her latest work «reEncanto».

After five albums exploring a tropical, globetrotting pop, with bright colors, multiple layers, and rich arrangements, intoxicating the world with a warm unpredictability that reflects her adventurous life, sung in Cape Verdean Creole, English, French, and Portuguese, Mayra Andrade felt the moment to return to the essence of her creative process.

In «reEncanto», accompanied only by guitarist Djodje Almeida, the artist revisits, in a more stripped-down and intimate light, songs from previous albums such as Navega, Storia, Storia, Lovely Difficult and Manga.

“She herself was enlightened by the experience of being a mother, Mayra Andrade promises to re-enchant us with the magic of simple things, says Tavira City Council .

Tickets for this concert, part of the Summer in Tavira program, cost 12 euros and are available on the BOL platform and its participating establishments, as well as at the tourist information stand in Praça da República, between 8:00 p.m. and midnight.
