The three Stalinists!

The three Stalinists!

Beijing is packed with people. Everyone wants to see it, everyone wants to be there. But in the midst of the crowd, only three count: Xi, Putin, and Kim. The rest are for memory.

Xi is the beast in sheep's clothing. He smiles, he waves, but he's the new emperor. Putin remains the shambling Cossack—smart, calculating, but with increasingly empty pockets. Kim is the dangerous braggart, sustained by the breath of Beijing. Three men, three Stalinists. Or, rather, the Stalin version served in redux mode.

In China, Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India, also appears, lost and unaware of the "embrace." Xi won't be parading to honor anyone. He'll be flexing his muscles. To scare the guests, Washington, and NATO.

Xi's strategy is transparent: age-old patience, an open book, and a clear message. There's a new superpower. In every sense. And Beijing will shout: "Don't mess with us!" The military parade will be the poster for this power.

Putin is no longer hiding it: he's in Xi's pocket. Russia was the "superpower." Ukraine scrapped the statute. And Kim lives on because Beijing allows it. Pyongyang only exists because thousands of Chinese soldiers died in the Korean War. Xi will never forget.

Trump, of course, doesn't care. He's upset he wasn't invited. He's going to "get" more tariffs. Let them learn from this. These are the White House's new hypersonic missiles.
