'Memorial das Águas' project selects images to be part of exhibitions about the 2024 flood

The Memorial das Águas project, promoted by Galeria Escadaria, is accepting entries for pieces to be included in five photography exhibitions held in public spaces in the cities of Porto Alegre and Pelotas. With the theme Solidarity and Reconstruction, the initiative will select 440 images from 200 photographers from the region, which must address and portray memories, stories and impacts of the 2024 flood, caused in Rio Grande do Sul. The rules can be requested by email [email protected] , and each participant has the possibility of registering multiple times. The five group exhibitions will take place between July and December 2025. Photography registrations, in turn, will be open until September 10. Schedule of exhibitions and their respective registrations:Porto Alegre:1st exhibition: July 12 to August 12 – registrations from May 20 to June 22nd exhibition: August 16 to September 16 – registrations from June 3 to 233rd exhibition: September 20 to October 20 – registrations from June 24 to July 14Pelotas:4th exhibition: October 25 to November 24 – registrations from July 15 to August 45th exhibition: November 29 to December 27 – registrations from August 5 to September 10
