Council says Teck Week consolidated Aveiro as a benchmark for technological integration

Aveiro City Council today gave a positive assessment of the 2025 edition of Aveiro Tech Week, considering that it confirmed the city's consolidation as a "reference in the integration of technology, innovation and culture".
This year’s edition “confirms Aveiro’s consolidation as a benchmark city in the integration of technology, innovation and culture”.
Organized by Aveiro City Council, the initiative took place last week and "included thousands of participants in dozens of activities open to the community, reinforcing the city's involvement with technological and creative sectors."
Techdays Aveiro brought together national and international experts on topics such as microelectronics, cybersecurity, quantum communications, and defense.
The gaming area, located at Aveiro Parquexpo, also saw “strong participation,” according to the same note, alluding to tournaments, demonstrations and the presence of influencers and content creators.
The PRISMA/Art Light Tech festival, organized by Aveiro City Council and coordinated by Teatro Aveirense, ended the week with four days of programming that included 20 installations by artists from nine countries, under the theme “The Shape of Things”.
José Ribau Esteves, Mayor of Aveiro, highlighted “the high quality of the event, duly rewarded by strong public participation,” underlining the importance of the initiative for the cultural appreciation of the City of Canals.
In turn, José Pina, the festival's programmer, stated that "it was very positive, with the public responding enthusiastically to a set of works that invited the rediscovery of urban space."
