Lagoa welcomes summer with Carvoeiro Noite Black & White

The municipality of Lagoa will be hosting the 11th edition of Carvoeiro Noite Black & White next June, an event that has already earned a prominent place in the national calendar and which this year symbolically coincides with the celebration of the summer solstice (21 June) – the longest day of the year, associated with light, fire and the celebration of nature.

Inspired by the Celtic tradition of Litha, this time of year when the Sun remains in the sky for the longest time will be marked with tribal fire dance performances and the vibrant performance of the Celtic music band Deira Band, promising to immerse the public in a magical atmosphere, marked by ancestry and the festive spirit.

Since its creation, Carvoeiro Noite Black & White, an initiative of Lagoa City Council , has grown exponentially, going from being just the first big party of the Algarve summer to becoming one of the biggest open-air celebrations in the country, bringing together, in a single night, more than 30 thousand national and foreign visitors.

As usual, the event takes place in the heart of Praia do Carvoeiro, with several entertainment venues spread across different areas of the town.

The program starts on the 21st at 8:30 pm and continues until 3 am, with special emphasis on the large dance floor set up on the wide and sandy beach of Praia do Carvoeiro, where some of the greatest dance music hits will be heard, in a unique atmosphere of celebration and sharing.

Black and white are the mandatory dress code , also reflected in the multiple artistic expressions that will liven up the night – from music to dance, including magic, cinema and street entertainment.

To facilitate access to the event, the municipality will once again provide the regular free bus line, which will ensure continuous connection between Praia do Carvoeiro and the car parks located at Parque Municipal de Feiras e Exposições de Lagoa (Fatacil venue), Intermarché, Apolónia, Aldi and Gramital (in front of Aldi), between 6 pm and 4 am.
