Only 10 can buy this Le Mans Valkyrie

Aston Martin has surprised the market by launching the Valkyrie, a hypercar that is road-legal but was designed by F1 wizard Adrian Newey, the man who designed the Red Bulls that won eight World Drivers' Championships and six Constructors' Championships. This production version of the Valkyrie costs €2.5 million before tax and is available as a Coupé and Spider, and Aston Martin advertises it as the fastest production car on the market, capable of approaching the lap time of an F1 track.

After launching the road-going version, the Valkyrie then gave rise to a track version, the Valkyrie AMR Pro, as well as the Valkyrie AMR LM Hypercar, the model with which Aston Martin competes in the World Endurance Championships (WEC and IMSA) and which will be defending the colours of the British manufacturer in this year's edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which takes place next weekend. And to "surf" its participation in the World Endurance Championship, Aston Martin decided to produce just 10 units of a model it called the Valkyrie LM , based on the Le Mans Hypercar, which should even be faster than the racing car because it uses the same mechanics and is not limited by the systems imposed by the World Endurance Championship regulations, designed to level out the performance between the different models present on the track.

The Valkyrie LM shares its chassis and practically all of its bodywork with the Le Mans Hypercar, and also inherits the same engine, an imposing 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 produced by Cosworth, but without the mechanical assistance of the road-going Valkyrie, which uses a Kers system (similar to those used in F1) to increase power to 1176 hp. With just the combustion engine, the Valkyrie LM has 707 hp, more than the Hypercar's 680 hp, as it does not need to install an air restrictor on the intake. In both cases, the weight is 1030 kg, which promises an unbeatable combination of power, weight and aerodynamic support.

Aston Martin's proposal for these 10 customers, candidates to purchase the Valkyrie LM, consists of paying around 5 million euros — the manufacturer did not disclose the price, but the British press reports this amount, which is double the production version of the Valkyrie. After purchasing the Valkyrie LM, customers will have access to one of the most sophisticated experiences for sports car owners , at the controls of what is probably the most advanced "racing car" on the market that a private driver can have access to, since in reality the vehicle they have purchased is similar to the most competitive models among those competing in the World Endurance Championship.

The 10 Valkyrie LMs will begin to be delivered in the second quarter of 2026 , with testing on some of the tracks visited by the F1 World Championship starting in the third quarter. There, under the guidance of the English manufacturer, Valkyrie LM owners will have the brand's technicians at their disposal, who will provide tips on how to set up the model for the track, as well as the best way to describe each curve, as if they were professional drivers. Ultimately, it is about offering a memorable experience for those who love cars and competition.
