Selena Gomez Hypes Up Pop Star Friends Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, and Ariana Grande

This past week, Selena Gomez has been celebrating her friends in the music industry with a series of posts on Instagram. First, she shared a shot of Miley Cyrus looking very stylish, writing over it, “Everything,” and adding a heart-eye emoji after it.

On Friday, she shared two video clips, the first one from a fan account in which she and Ariana Grande are embracing on the red carpet at the Santa Barbara Film Festival in February of this year.

“I’m reminded that women can always be supportive of each other,” Gomez wrote over the sweet clip. “I love you Ari.”

Next, the Only Murders in the Building star shared a clip of Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the 2021 Brit Awards in black-and-white, with her hit song “Cardigan” playing over it.

“There might be times when you put your whole heart and soul into something and it is met with cynicism or skepticism,” Swift is saying. “You cannot let that crush you. You have to let it fuel you.”

She continued, “Because we live in a world where anyone has the right to say anything that they want about you at any time. But just please remember that you have the right to prove them wrong.”

Over the clip, Gomez shared an emoji of hands raising in agreement.

On May 20, Gomez also supported Hailey Bieber, liking a post about Hailey’s Rhode Beauty skincare line going to Sephora. In the post celebrating the big moment, Hailey wrote, “In my wildest dreams, it’s already gone beyond what I would’ve hoped for.”

Gomez formerly dated Hailey’s husband, Justin Bieber, and rumors of an ongoing feud between to the two makeup moguls have been circulating for some time. However, Gomez has made an effort to dispel them. In 2023, Hailey thanked Gomez for her support and said on The Circuit With Emily Chang soon after that she thinks the divisiveness is bad for everyone.

“I don’t like this whole idea of Team This Person and Team This Person,” she said. “I’m just not about that. I want to be able to bring people together. I think that was a really important moment for people to see that you can do that. And you can bring people together and it doesn’t have to be about this divisive nature.”
