Students create exhibition that combines art with the environment

The municipality of Ovar celebrated World Environment Day yesterday with the inauguration, at the Environmental Education Center of the Buçaquinho Environmental Park, of an exhibition of illustrations made by 12 students from the 11th year of the Visual Arts Course at the Júlio Dinis Secondary School, in response to a challenge from the local authority.
Leonor is one of the authors. “When our drawing teacher spoke to us, I was very excited. I really like taking part in these projects,” the 17-year-old student told Diário de Aveiro. The student from Vareira did a project depicting two squirrels, a species common in the municipality. “The drawing was done during class,” she explained. “I had a lot of ideas and changed my mind several times, but I ended up deciding on this drawing.”
