Applications for the second edition of “Sandbox Market4Growth” close on September 15th

The Securities Market Commission (CMVM) today opened applications for the second edition of S andbox Market4Growth, with a deadline for interested companies to apply until September 15th.
The scope of the initiative includes simulating access to venture capital financing, issuing debt (bonds) or even going public (shares).
The second edition of S andbox Market4Growth brings together a group of 25 experts in the provision of services related to access to the capital market – legal consultants, investment banks, rating agencies, specialists in corporate governance and sustainability, professional associations representing venture capital activity and the managing entity of the national stock exchange (Euronext Lisbon) –, who are available to promote support to companies that are interested in simulating the process for the capital market.
In the first edition of S andbox Market4Growth, applications were received from 25 companies, of which 16 advanced to the testing phase.
“The second edition of S andbox Market4Growth will feature a larger number of partners joining the initiative, as well as new features compared to the first edition,” said CMVM.
“In addition to an initial workshop prepared by partners where all registered companies will be able to acquire the minimum knowledge essential for the smooth running of their participation, a representative will also be created for relations with S andbox when partners are allocated to companies, as well as providing access to mentors, indicated by institutional partners, whose testimony and support may prove important for testing or simulating some specific aspect (for example, the testimony of someone who has already promoted an issue of green bonds, for a company that is testing this form of financing)”, announced the Securities Market Commission.
The presentation of the new features of this edition was carried out by the CMVM administrator, Juliano Ferreira.
S andbox Market4Growth, launched in November 2023, is an initiative that aims to bring companies closer to the capital market, allowing them, in a controlled, cost-free environment and accompanied by specialized partners, to carry out a personalized diagnosis on their level of preparation, as well as simulate financing, access and permanence processes in the market.
The launch session of the second edition took place today at CMVM and featured the participation of keynote speaker João Duque, president of ISEG, and the intervention, in a round table, of two of the companies participating in the first edition and two specialized partners, to share the experience of the first edition.
