"Dances with Wolves" actor Graham Greene has died.

Graham Greene , a Canadian actor nominated for an Oscar for his role in "Dances with Wolves," has died at the age of 73. According to the Canadian press, the actor died of natural causes.

"It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of award-winning and legendary Canadian actor Graham Greene," said Gerry Jordan, his agent, in a statement sent to Canada's CBC News.

Greene was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as "Kicking Bird" in Kevin Costner's 1990 western epic. He also appeared in other films such as " The Green Mile ," opposite Tom Hanks, and one of the "Die Hard" films, starring Bruce Willis.

The actor was a member of the Oneida Nation, part of the Six Nations Reserve in southern Ontario, Canada.
