Sport defines list of players out of plans; check it out

Five players are no longer part of coach Daniel Paulista's plans for the rest of Sport 's 2025 season. After a meeting between the board and the technical committee this Thursday (3), defenders Lucas Cunha and Antônio Carlos, full-back Dalbert, defensive midfielder Du Queiroz and midfielder Titi Ortiz will be made available on the market by the club. The information is from reporter Antônio Gabriel, from Rádio Jornal.

All athletes have already been notified. And with their departure, athletes from the under-20 squad will join the main squad until reinforcements arrive.

Among the five, the player who played the most for Sport was striker Titi Ortiz, one of the main names in the team's campaign to gain access to Série A last year. The player, however, has lost ground this season. He played 57 matches for Leão, scoring five goals and providing five assists.

Another player who has been at Sport since last season was left-back Dalbert. However, the athlete has never managed to establish himself in the team. He has played 39 games in both years.

Lucas Cunha, Antônio Carlos and Du Queiroz arrived this season and were also unable to establish themselves in the team.

After more than a month of inactivity, due to the break for the Club World Cup, Sport will return to the field next Wednesday (9), against Ceará, in a single game of the quarterfinals of the Copa do Nordeste. The ball rolls at 9:30 pm at Ilha do Retiro.
