A bas-relief of former regional leader Pavel Leonov was removed from the building of the regional court in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk

Passers-by could observe the moment of dismantling the object on Komprospekt (the regional party committee, which Leonov headed, used to be located there).

As reported by the press service of the regional court, the bas-relief will be returned to its original place after some time. It was removed in connection with the upcoming major repairs of the building's facade. And transferred to the city administration's department of urban economy for restoration.
