A plant for the production of auto components and transmissions will open in the Tula region

On Thursday, June 19, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the head of the Tula region, Dmitry Milyaev, signed an agreement with the Chinese company Great Wall Motor. This was reported by the press service of the regional government.
The agreement provides for the construction of a production complex for the production of automotive components and transmissions in the Uzlovaya industrial park, which will create approximately 1,000 new jobs for residents of the region in the future.
An agreement on the project's implementation was reached during the Tula Region Governor's visit to China in April this year. All support will be provided to the Chinese auto company in its completion, Dmitry Milyaev emphasized.
It should be recalled that on May 20, 2014, during the official visit of the Russian president to China, a trilateral agreement was signed on the construction of a car manufacturing plant in the Tula region. On June 5, 2019, the Haval Motor Manufacturing Rus LLC car plant began operating in the Uzlovaya industrial park, producing 132 thousand cars in 2024. In January-May 2025, it has already produced more than 48 thousand cars.
Earlier, MK v Tule reported that PJSC Rosseti Centre intends to invest more than 15.5 billion rubles in the development of the electric grid complex of the Tula region.
