In Mariupol , 39 illegal migrants were found among 215 foreign citizens during an inspection of the legality of their stay in the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), RIA Novosti reports.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic told the agency that law enforcement officers identified 215 foreign citizens and also opened four criminal cases under Article 327 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (forgery, production or circulation of forged documents, state awards, stamps, seals or forms). Thirty-nine administrative protocols were also drawn up.

The department reported that during the inspection they discovered forged documents, including tear-off parts of the notification form about the arrival of a foreign citizen or stateless person, as well as forged stamps about crossing the state border.

Earlier, Donetsk resident Viktoria Mukhamedzyanova complained about the import of a large number of migrants to the city. The Donetsk resident said that more and more foreign workers have been appearing in the city recently. Moreover, they do not come alone, but with their families, the woman noted.
