A series of moderate earthquakes hit near New Zealand's Kermadec Islands

SYDNEY, May 20. /TASS/. A series of earthquakes with magnitudes ranging from 5.0 to 5.3 were recorded off the coast of New Zealand's Kermadec Archipelago in the southern Pacific Ocean, Australia's state geological office reported.
According to the agency, the epicenter was located 260 kilometers south of Raoul, the archipelago's main island, and about 800 kilometers northeast of Auckland, New Zealand's largest city with a population of over 1.5 million. The quakes originated at a depth between 30 and 60 kilometers.
No injuries or damage were reported, and authorities have not issued a tsunami warning.
