In April-May 2025, demand for logistics workers in Russia fell by an average of 5-28 percent compared to the same period in 2024. Kommersant reports a sharp decline in companies' interest in this type of employee, citing data from market participants.

SuperJob and Ozon analysts report a 15 percent decrease in the number of such vacancies in the country. According to HeadHunter, the number of such ads in the Russian Federation has decreased by 28 percent year-on-year, to 130 thousand. The logistics company PEK, in turn, points to a 5-15 percent decrease in demand year-on-year.

The issue concerns vacancies in the transport and logistics industry, which includes warehouse personnel, analysts clarified. It is noted that the current decline is being recorded after a two-year cycle of growth in demand for such employees. Such a circumstance, experts believe, may lead to a decrease in salaries of current employees in the industry and reduce the attractiveness of the direction for some potential applicants. Analysts explained the decrease in employers' interest in warehouse personnel by the transition of consumers to a savings model and a slowdown in the growth rate of retail turnover.

Earlier, it was reported that there was a sharp decline in demand for another category of workers in the transport and logistics industry. According to analysts from the Zarplata.ru service, Russian employers' interest in truck drivers fell by 47 percent year-on-year in March. We are talking about workers with categories C and E. The demand for the former fell by 42 percent during the reporting period, and for the latter by 53 percent. Experts named the overall decline in cargo transportation volumes on the Russian market and the mass departure of a number of Western logistics companies from the country as the main reason for such dynamics.
