Executions without trial: how many enemies of Israel have been destroyed in 50 years

The Israeli strike, which killed at least three Iranian generals, has led to a reshuffle of the military's top brass. New officers have been appointed to replace those killed. In Israel, they have immediately become new targets for an almost 50-year-old campaign of enemy assassination.
As reported by the Iranian TV channel IRIB, as a result of the Israeli strike that resulted in the death of Mohammad Bagheri, there were personnel changes in the top military leadership of Iran. Abdulrahim Musari took the post of Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces. At the same time, Mohammad Pakpour replaced Hossein Salami as the commander of the IRGC. As reported by the IRIB TV channel, these appointments were approved by the Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei.
Mousavi previously served as the commander of the Iranian Armed Forces' army, while Pakpour was the commander of the IRGC's ground forces. IRGC General Ali Shadmani became the commander of "Hatem al-Anbiya" (Emergency Command). He was awarded the rank of major general.

It is logical to assume that the new appointees ended up in very "hot" positions, ending up on the list of "enemies of Israel" subject to unconditional liquidation. And while experts are guessing how long the newcomers will be able to serve, the press is citing a list of those who have already laid down their lives in the half-century war with Israel and its special services.
It is opened, of course, by Ali Hassan Salameh , the head Black September and head of Yasser Arafat's personal security detail, which carried out the bloody kidnapping and murder of 11 Jewish athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics. In January 1979, Mossad agents blew up Salameh's car in Beirut as part of Operation Wrath of God. He was called the "Red Prince" - probably because he had been trained as a terrorist in Moscow.
On April 16, 1988, Israeli special forces killed Fatah leader Abu Jihad in Tunisia. First, two of Abu Jihad's bodyguards and a gardener were killed. When the commandos stormed the villa, they found its owner with a pistol in his hand, his wife and children. Abu Jihad was shot at point-blank range, but the attackers spared his family. Fifty-two bullets were later found in his body. This was the price for dozens of Israelis killed in numerous Fatah raids and attacks over many years.

During the South Lebanon conflict (1985–2000), on February 16, 1992 , Hezbollah Secretary General Abbas al-Musawi was killed in an Israeli airstrike.
In the Ash-Sharqiyah area, Israeli Apache helicopters launched a Hellfire missile attack on a convoy, destroying three vehicles and killing al-Musawi, his wife, their five-year-old child, and four security guards. Ten or more people accompanying the convoy were injured to varying degrees. According to a Hezbollah spokesman, al-Musawi and his family were killed when their car was set on fire.
It was also reported that the helicopter transporting the remains of the victims was attacked by an Israeli aircraft, and that survivors attempting to flee the area were shot at with automatic weapons. Israel later acknowledged that the operation was a carefully planned assassination, describing it as the first such operation carried out by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

In March 2004, Sheikh Ahmed Yassin , the spiritual leader and one of the founders of Hamas, was killed in Gaza by an Israeli air force missile strike. A month later, his successor, Abdel Aziz al-Rantisi, was similarly killed. The decision to eliminate Sheikh Ahmed Yassin was made in response to the terrorist attacks in the Israeli port of Ashdod that occurred on March 14, 2004.
Then two suicide bombers detonated explosives. The first detonated himself in an administrative building inside the complex, and the second almost immediately detonated near the checkpoint into the territory. Ten innocent citizens, mostly port employees, fell victim to these attacks, sixteen people were injured to varying degrees of severity.

In December 2023 , Sayyed Razi Musavi, a high-ranking general in the Iranian IRGC who served as a military adviser in Syria, was killed in an Israeli air strike in Damascus. General Musavi was responsible for coordinating military cooperation between Iran and Syria and smuggling weapons to the Shiite group Hezbollah. Tehran kept silent about this function of the deceased. However, the fact that General Musavi played a far from insignificant role in Iran is evidenced by the fact that state television programs were interrupted for an urgent report of his death.

In April 2024, Mohammad Reza Zahedi , the former commander of the IRGC ground forces, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus. The Iranian side claimed that he was involved in the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. On that day, a Saturday, the Simchat Torah holiday, 347 young people, citizens of Israel and other countries, and 17 police officers were killed at the festival, 40 people were kidnapped and went missing.

This, however, is not the entire list of Israel's exterminated enemies. In some cases, the Israeli secret services and authorities did not acknowledge the facts of execution, although the reasons for the death of certain people were obvious.
