Inflation in Nizhny Novgorod Region in January amounted to 9.52%

In January of this year, the Nizhny Novgorod region recorded an increase in annual inflation to 9.52%, as reported by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.
In the previous month, December 2024, this indicator for the region was at the level of 8.88%. It should be noted that the current inflation in the region remains lower than the all-Russian level and the average indicator for the Volga Federal District. Experts explain the increase in inflation in the region by the transfer of increased costs to prices by manufacturers and suppliers.
In addition, there was a decrease in the availability of certain goods and an increase in the cost of some regulated services. In January, food prices in the region increased by 10.8%, non-food prices by 5.81%. Services became more expensive by an average of 12.61%.
