Sex can be dangerous if partners decide to have it on the edge of a cliff, on a balcony railing, or in places where people with easily traumatized psyches are present, sexologist Oleg Gulko said. He spoke about truly dangerous positions for men and women in an interview with Lenta.ru.

According to Gulko, it is easy to get injured in a situation of high intensity of contact, which is usually called passionate sex, with an emphasis on deep penetration, with abrupt changes in the position of the bodies relative to each other. Men, the sexologist continued, are at risk of injuries in the form of a rupture or tear of the frenulum of the penis, a fracture of the penis. Women may complain of vaginal ruptures, hematomas and abrasions.

Gulko also warned about the dangers of BDSM practices. According to him, the risks of dangers and injuries in this case are many times higher and do not exclude a fatal outcome for one of the participants or both.

Earlier, Gulko listed the positions that allow a man to have sex longer. "The effectiveness of these positions is explained by less stimulation, or stimulation that is different from that which leads to orgasm. As a rule, the active actions are performed by the partner, the man is in a passive position," he specified.
