Four-time Olympic champion Alexander Tikhonov commented on reports that Tatarstan authorities refused to allow figure skater Alina Zagitova to build her own school. His words are quoted by the publication VseProSport.

Earlier, the authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan refused Russian figure skater Alina Zagitova the opportunity to build her own school. The reason was the high cost of the project. It is noted that the cost of the center was supposed to be one billion rubles. At the same time, in February 2024, it was reported that Zagitova would become the general manager of her own sports school in Kazan .
