Republican Trump supporter Charlie Kirk, who was shot earlier during a speech, has died

Far-right activist and Turning Point USA (TPUSA) executive director Charlie Kirk, who was shot while speaking at Utah Valley University, has died, US President Donald Trump said.

"The Great, even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had such a heart for the youth of the United States of America as Charlie. He was loved and respected by EVERYONE, especially me, and now he is no longer with us. Condolences from me and Melania to his beautiful wife Erica and family. Charlie, we love you," the American leader wrote in Truth Social. Kirk's death was also reported by his press secretary Andrew Colvet, The New York Times reports. ( RBC )
